Natural Gas Liquefaction Plant
A Natural Gas Liquefaction Plant is a cryogenic processing facility that converts gaseous natural gas into a liquid product by removing contaminants and reducing the temperature of the gas to cryogenic levels.
The liquefaction process allows LNG to occupy only a small fraction of the volume of natural gas in its gaseous state, making it practical for transportation and storage.
Feed Gas Treatment
Feed-gas quality is one of the most important factors in LNG production.
The pretreatment section removes components that may freeze or cause operational problems during cryogenic processing.
Depending on the gas composition, the treatment system may include:
- Inlet separation
- Filtration
- CO₂ removal
- H₂S removal
- Water removal
- Mercury removal
- Heavy hydrocarbon separation
- Nitrogen adjustment when necessary
After purification, the treated natural gas enters the liquefaction section.

Cryogenic Liquefaction
The core of the plant is the cryogenic heat-exchange system.
Refrigeration technology is used to progressively reduce the temperature of the natural gas. The gas eventually reaches the required liquefaction temperature and becomes LNG.
Different liquefaction configurations can be considered depending on plant capacity and project conditions, including optimized refrigeration-cycle arrangements suitable for small, medium, or larger LNG facilities.
LNG Handling
The produced LNG is transferred to cryogenic storage facilities.
The storage and loading system can include:
- LNG storage tanks
- Transfer pumps
- Loading arms
- LNG loading skid
- Boil-off gas management
- Pressure control
- Metering system

Automatic Control
The Natural Gas Liquefaction Plant can incorporate PLC or DCS-based control systems for centralized monitoring of pressure, temperature, flow, liquid level, compressor operation, refrigeration conditions, and safety interlocks.
This enables the LNG facility to operate with a high degree of process automation.
Customized Engin eering
The appropriate process configuration depends on the natural gas composition, feed pressure, production capacity, climate, available utilities, LNG specification, and required operating mode.
We develop LNG liquefaction solutions based on the actual technical conditions of each project rather than applying one standard configuration to every customer.
