Sulfuric Acid Production Line
Our Sulfuric Acid Production Line is designed for the continuous and efficient production of industrial-grade sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄). The plant can be engineered according to different production capacities, raw material conditions, product concentrations, utility availability, and site requirements.
Sulfuric acid is one of the most widely used basic chemicals in the world. It plays an important role in fertilizer manufacturing, chemical processing, petroleum refining, mining, metallurgy, water treatment, and many other industrial applications.
The production line adopts the conventional sulfur-burning or sulfur-based contact process, with integrated gas purification, catalytic conversion, sulfur dioxide oxidation, sulfur trioxide absorption, and acid circulation systems.
Main Production Process
A typical sulfuric acid plant consists of the following stages:
Sulfur Handling → Sulfur Melting & Filtration → Sulfur Combustion → SO₂ Gas Conversion → SO₃ Absorption → Sulfuric Acid Circulation → Product Storage
Molten sulfur is burned in a controlled combustion furnace to generate sulfur dioxide gas. After cooling and purification, the SO₂-containing gas enters the catalytic converter, where it is oxidized to sulfur trioxide.
The SO₃ is subsequently absorbed in concentrated sulfuric acid to produce the required sulfuric acid concentration.
