Sulfuric Acid Plant

Sulfuric acid production typically uses the contact process. Depending on the type of raw materials, processes such as sulfuric acid production from sulfur, sulfur ore, and flue gas from smelting can be employed.

A typical Sulfuric Acid Plant process is as follows:
Sulfur → Melting and filtration → Sulfur combustion → SO₂ gas → Catalytic conversion → SO₃ → Absorption → Sulfuric acid

Sulfur is converted into sulfur dioxide (SO₂) in the combustion furnace, and after purification and catalytic conversion, it generates trioxide sulfur (SO₃), which is then produced into sulfuric acid through the absorption system.
